Schedule for trials of disabled teams announced

KARACHI: Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) secretary Amir-ud-din Ansari on Wednesday announced to conduct trials for selecting the teams of Sialkot region, Abbottabad region, Fata region, Quetta region, Azad Kashmir region, Rawalpindi region and Islamabad region, ahead of the National disabled T20 championship.
Trials for selecting Sialkot team are scheduled on November 25 at Anwar Khuwaja sports complex, Sialkot. Former first-class cricketer Shahid shafique, Tahir Mughal, Javaid Ashraf and captain Sialkot region Hafiz Ghulam Mujtaba will supervise the trials.
Trials for Abbottabad region will be held on November 26 at Gohatti Cricket stadium, Sawabi. M Tahir and Abdul Hameed will observe the trials.Islamia College ground Peshawar will host the trials on November 27 to select the players for Fata region. M tahir and Ali Hoti will oversee the trials.
Moreover, to select the team for Quetta region, secretary PDCA announced that Nawab Akbar Bhugti stadium will host the trials on November 28. Raj Hans, Aqil Baloch and Shah Ali will manage the trials.
The team from Azad Kashmir region will be announced after the trials on November 30 at Bagah Stadium. M Tahir and Mushtaq Hussain will choose the best possible players for the team.
Meanwhile, trials to select the players from twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad will held on December 2 and 4 respectively at Rawalpindi cricket stadium. The selection committee comprising Sabih Azhar, M Tahir and Syed Rafay Hashmi will select the teams.
