Amir Muqam visits residence of victim girl in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Tuesday visited the family of the affected girl and given Rs200,000 cheque to the family.
Amir Muqam visited the house of the affected girl in Garamat and conveyed sympathies to the family on behalf of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Talking to reporters on the occasion, Amir Muqam criticised the lukewarm response of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to the incident.
The representatives of the provincial government did not spare any opportunity to criticise their opponents but failed to provide justice to a victim girl in DI Khan, he added.
He said that neither Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan nor the party Chief Minister Pervez Khattak bothered to visit the affected family.
He said that the provincial government was playing the role of a silent spectator in the incident which exposed the hollow claims of bringing about a change.
He maintained that the incident also exposed the much trumpeted reforms in police department as the department was using delaying tactics to provide justice to the affected family.
Amir Muqam, who is also the provincial president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said that Imran Khan had issued show-cause notice to PTI Member National Assembly Dawar Kundi for speaking and siding with the truth.
The advisor said that naming a party as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was not enough to provide justice to people but one has to raise voice against injustices. He said that the provincial government was scared of speaking against injustice.
