Ayaz shines in Islamabad’s win over Sindh Whites

KARACHI: Islamabad’s Ayaz Ahmed stole the limelight on the second day of the final round of the Pakistan Hockey Federation’s Under-16 Boys’ Schools National Championships at the Bakht Ali Dahot stadium, Khairpur.
Ayaz scored four goals in Islamabad’s 6-2 win over Sindh Whites.The other two goals were scored by Sheraz Ahmed and Usman Nawaz. M Awais and Naveed Rahman scored for Sindh Whites.
Punjab Blues also had an easy sailing, beating FATA 7-2. Arsal Saleem struck twice for Punjab Blues. Arshad Liaquat, Osama Baig, Waleed Shafiq, Aamer Sohail and Salman Akram scored one goal apiece.
The two goals of FATA were scored by Abdul Manaf. In the most well-contested match of the day, KP Greens overcame Sindh Greens 4-2. Ehsan Ahmed struck twice for KP Greens, while Hammad Khan and M Umar netted once each. For Sindh Greens, Nauman Khan scored two goals.
