NAB seeks contract details from PLDC

LAHORE :National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has approached Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Punjab Land Development Company (PLDC) and sought details of various firms the company has signed contracts with.
According to NAB officials, a letter in this regard was written by NAB Lahore to CEO PLDC on Nov 17. NAB has sought details about PLDC’s project namely Ashiana-e-Iqbal Lahore. NAB has further sought details of contract between firms and the PLDC.
The NAB authorities, investigating inquiry against management of public limited companies in the Punjab province, have further asked the PLDC CEO to appoint an officer concerned to appear before the investigators on Nov 22 along with all the relevant record, attested copies of contract agreements and present status of the land, which was rendered at the disposal of these firms for construction of quarters/ homes.
Separately, NAB Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal Monday paid his maiden visit to Lahore Bureau office.Director General NAB Lahore and other officials welcomed him at the Bureau office. DG NAB Lahore briefed him about pending mega corruption cases and their present status.
