Court acquits terror suspect

PESHAWAR: Anti-Terrorism Court on Monday acquitted a terror suspect arrested and charged for firing at Pakistan International Airline (PIA) passengers’ plane while landing at the Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar.
The Anti-Terrorism Court judge acquitted the terror suspect, Noor Muhammad, a resident of Nizampur in Nowshera district after the prosecution failed to prove the terrorism charges against him.
The incident took place at 2014 in which one woman had died and two flight stewards were injured. He was charged and arrested in the incident of firing at PIA passengers’ plane near Sulemankhel village in Badaber when the plane was landing at the Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar.
