Gas shortage

The country has received a soothing breeze of winter. Somehow, a spell of rain has depleted various diseases mainly caused by the dry weather. Unfortunately, for Pakistanis, good news is always accompanied by a bad one. The arrival of winter has brought a new calamity with it – gas loadshedding. Despite the fact that the country has sufficient reserves of natural gas, still every year with the arrival of cold weather, we have to face a troublesome situation of gas loadshedding, of which no proper schedule is set by the authorities, at a domestic level.
A large number of gas stations and hotels operating at every corner is the main reason of the crisis. An undersupply of the natural fuel to domestic consumers in the morning compels school-going children and office workers to start their day without having a breakfast. The concerned authorities are requested to take necessary steps in this regard and to ensure the provision of the utility to domestic users without any interruption, especially during meal preparation times.
