LAHORE: Dry but partly cloudy weather was observed in the city on Sunday while the Met Office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours. Met officials said a shallow westerly wave was still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to move eastward during the next 12 hours to 18 hours. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. They predicted that rain/thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills was expected at a few places in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rainfall was recorded at Rawalakot and Garhi Dupatta, the Met officials said. They added that Sunday’s lowest temperature was recorded at Kalat where mercury dropped to -06°C while in Kalam it was -05°C, at Astore and Dir it was -03°C and at Quetta and Skardu it was -02°C. In Lahore, the maximum temperature was 21°C and minimum 9.8°C.
