LANDIKOTAL: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq said on Friday the US and its allies had started wars in Muslim countries to occupy their resources.
He was speaking as chief guest at a public gathering jointly arranged by JUI-S and MNA Shahjee Gul Afridi in Landikotal.
Maulana Samiul Haq said the US made Fata a buffer zone where they were playing dirty games against Pakistan.
He accused India and Israel of conspiring against Pakistan while using the Afghan soil. The JUI-S head said the enemies of Fata were the enemies of Pakistan. “Israel and India are using the Afghan soil to destabilise Pakistan,” he claimed. He said bloodshed in Afghanistan, Palestine and occupied Kashmir was being backed by the US and its allies. “The tribespeople fought independence war along with other people,” he said, adding they should not be harassed.
He said his party wanted the abolition of the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) and had always aired its voice over the draconian law. The Maulana passed a resolution at the general gathering that called for fighting a legal battle to merge Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
MNA Shahjee Gul Afridi said millions of tribespeople wanted merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said those who lived in Islamabad were not loyal to their people.
The lawmaker urged the residents of Landikotal to support those candidates who worked for their uplift. He said Afghan citizens were their brothers and Afghanistan was their second home. He said peace in Pakistan was linked to stability in Afghanistan. In his address, Shahjee Gul added that peace couldn’t be restored in Fata unless stability was brought to Afghanistan. He said that Afghanistan should make sure that its territory was not used for staging terror attacks in Pakistan.
The lawmaker believed that world powers didn’t want peace in Pakistan and Afghanistan as they wanted to fulfill their own agendas through creating rifts among Muslim countries.
