National Blind T20 Cricket gets under way

BAHAWALPUR: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) T20 Blind Cricket Championship 2017 started at Multan and Bahawalpur on Thursday.
On the opening day Islamabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Abbottabad and Multan teams won their respective matches. Aqeel Najam Hashmi, Mayor of Bahawalpur, Muhammad Younis, Regional Head NBP Bahawalpur were the guests of honour at the inaugural ceremony.Results of Thursday’s matches: Islamabad beat Okara by six wickets at Multan.
Scores: Okara 115 in 15.1 overs (Faseeh Ullah 31, Anees Javed and Nabeel Satti took 3 wickets each). Islamabad 116 for 4 (Tayyab Jabbar 35, Badar and Arslan took 2 wickets each). Nabeel Satti was named the Man of the Match.
Gujranwala beat PBCC Young Star by 10 wickets at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur.
Scores: PBCC Young Star 67 in 12.3 overs (Ehtisham 19, Muhammad Waqas took 2 wickets). Gujranwala 68 without loss in 5 overs (Israr Hassan 52*). Israr Hassan got the Man of the Match award.
Lahore defeated Peshawar by 21 runs at Kanday Wala Ground Multan.
Scores: Lahore 227 for 4 (Kamran Akhter 122*). Peshawar 206 for 9 (Mohsin Khan 60, Mati Ullah and Muhammad Salman got 2 wickets each). Man of the Match was given to Kamran Akhter. Bahawalpur outplayed AJK by 106 runs at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur.
Scores: Bahawalpur 269 for 4 (Muhammad Rashid 140, Zafar Iqbal 76). AJK 163 for 3 (Muhammad Jameel 79). Muhammad Rashid was declared Man of the Match.
In other matches Abbottabad won against Faisalabad by 43 runs while Multan beat Quetta by eight wickets.
