KP spending on public welfare: CM
NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that the provincial government was spending money to provide facilities to the people in line with the election manifesto of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Addressing a public gathering in Azakhel here, he said that that the past rulers were accountable to the public as they had promoted their interest instead of working for the wellbeing of the masses.
District Nazim Liaqat Khattak, Member National Assembly Imran Khattak and others were also present on the occasion.
Pervez Khattak said that the former rulers of the province had built luxurious palaces and they were travelling in land cruisers, but they didn’t care for providing basic amenities of life to the people.
“The PTI ended such practices and ensured good governance,” he said.
Claiming that he was not “haramkhor” (corrupt), he said that he had never indulged in corruption in his 35 years long political career. “I hate embezzling public money as I consider it Haram. I prefer death to easting Haram,” he said.
He maintained that no political party has been able to form government in the province after ruling it once. “Let me tell you that the PTI will change the history and will form government in the province after winning the 2018 election on the basis of its performance,” he claimed.
