LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Industry and Trade Sheikh Allauddin said the Punjab government allocated 1,750 acre land in the name of Sunder Industrial Estate to strengthen the industry across the province.
He said 70 to 80 thousand workers are working in 400 different factories located at Sunder Industrial Estate. He said all these factories have been issued allotment letters from the Punjab government for assurance of transparency.
The minister expressed these views during a department meeting in the Industries Department committee room, Thursday. Secretary Industries Mujtaba Paracha and other officers concerned attended the meeting.
They briefed the minister about the government’s policy that if any factory in Sunder Industrial Estate could not continue its manufacturing process until six months or if the factory is closed for any reason then it should be sealed.
