Senior journalist dies

LAHORE:Senior journalist of Daily Jang, Saleem Akhtar, died here Thursday. He had been under treatment in Punjab Institute of Cardiology for the last two weeks. He left behind a daughter and two sons.
His funeral prayers were offered at Qila Lachhman Singh and he was laid to rest in Miani Sahib. A large number of journalists, locals and relatives attended his funeral prayers. They prayed that May Allah Almighty grant him peace and courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss. Qul will be held on Friday (today) at 10am and Dua at 12 noon at Masjid Baitul Rahman, near Telephone Exchange, Qila Lachhman Singh, Ravi Road.
