PU student found dead in hostel

LAHORE: A student of Punjab University was found dead in Room-168 of Khalid Bin Waleed Hall, Old Campus. According to a PU spokesman, a few students informed the hostel administration about bad smell emitting from the room. He said a Chowkidar (security guard) along with some students opened the door of the room and found the student dead there. He was later identified as Manzoor Jamshed Kamboh, a student of MA Urdu Part 2. He belonged to Pakpattan.
Chairman Hall Council Prof Dr Abid Hussain Ch, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan and other officials reached the spot and informed the police and his relatives. According to the police, the dead body seemed to be three days old. The body was sent for autopsy.
