Prisoner dies of heart attack at Haripur jail

HARIPUR: A prisoner died of heart attack at the Haripur jail here on Tuesday, the authorities said.
The deceased Faisal Qudus, 36, belonging to Pharhala village, was undergoing life-term. He had been convicted of kidnapping a South African national for ransom about a decade back.
Jail sources said that Faisal Qudus was diagnosed with heart problem a few months back and was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital for a week.
On Tuesday morning, he was sitting with his family members, who had come to see him, when he suffered a heart attack. He was rushed to the DHQ hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
