Justice Asif Khosa suffers heart attack

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa who was head of the five-member Supreme Court of Pakistan bench that disqualified Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif last month suffered a heart attack on Tuesday.

According to a private TV channel, the senior judge of the Supreme Court was admitted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology after he experienced chest pain. The doctors there have confirmed that Justice Khosa indeed suffered a heart attack and he will undergo angioplasty. 

They added that two valves of the judge’s heart were blocked causing the heart attack. The doctors will try to open the clogged arteries using angioplasty and then decide whether the judge needs to undergo a surgery or not.
