LHC stops result of Medical & Dental College Admission Test 2017
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday stopped result of Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2017, till further orders. Justice Shahid Waheed passed the orders on petitions filed by Ayesha bin Tariq and other candidates challenging the MDCAT 2017.
During the hearing, the petitioners' counsel argued before the court that more than 65,000 students appeared in MDCAT held on August 20. They alleged that the paper was leaked ahead of time and if the result was announced on basis of the test then it would be an injustice to deserving students.
They pleaded with the court to set aside the test. The court after hearing initial arguments stopped the result of MDCAT 2017 and issued notices to Punjab government and University of Health Sciences for September 13. —
