Pak-Afghan flag meeting held at Torkham
LANDIKOTAL: The monthly flag meeting between the officials of Afghanistan and Pakistan was held at Torkham border on Tuesday.
The meeting, held on the Pakistani side of the border, lasted an hour. Lieutenant Colonel Mubashir of Khyber Rifles 123 Wing, Assistant Political Agent of Landikotal Niaz Muhammad and Captain Haris led the Pakistani team.
The Afghan officials including Colonel Qaseem, Colonel Nisar, Captain Nasim and Captain Hidayat participated from the Afghan side. Both the team exchanged views about border management.
Both discussed bilateral interests including a vigilant eye over the movement of suspects across the border. They agreed that both the countries should cooperate with each other so that they could keep Torkham border a connecting point between the citizens of two countries.
