LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday announced that Railways will run five special trains on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The special trains will run from Karachi, Quetta, Rawalpindi and Multan. The minister announced this in a meeting held with railway officials at Railways headquarters regarding restructuring of the Pakistan Railways. Saad said his aim is to end dissatisfaction among railways staff along with curbing irregularities. He said that in new manual the job description of each employee will be explained by keeping in view modern standards of human resources. After the meeting, Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Javed Anwer while following the directions of the minister issued a notification for the up-gradation of all grade four employees and payment of their arrears.
Meanwhile, member finance Pakistan Railways Ghulam Mustafa retired from his office after completion of his job tenure. After Mustafa’s retirement, Pakistan Railways Chairperson Parveen Agha has given responsibilities of member finance to Dr Muhammad Saeed.
