Seven cops abducted by gangsters in Rajanpur

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Seven policemen were abducted by 15 dacoits from the riverine area of River Indus in the limits of Bangla Ichha police, Rajanpur, on Sunday.
Reportedly, seven policemen, Luqman, Zeeshan, Sabir, Shakir, Jamshed, Safdar and Muzammil, were on their way to a picket of Nabi Shah on a boat when the gangsters abducted them and took them to their hideouts.
Rajanpur DPO Attiq Tahir confirmed the incident and claimed that the head of Patt gang Attaullah was involved in the incident. He said that police teams had been sent for the recovery of the abducted policemen and the arrest of the accused. It may be recalled that two police officials were killed during an encounter with the gangsters last month.
