KARACHI: A news report about a girl joining ‘Daesh’ has proved false, The News has learnt. Dua is from Hyderabad. She is the daughter of Excise Police Inspector Piar Ali Rind. Her mother reportedly claimed she received a call from her missing daughter saying that she had reached heaven and should be excused.

On August 10, Dua’s father registered a complaint at Hyderabad’s Naseem Nagar Police Station regarding mysteriousdisappearance of his daughter. Inspector Rind rejected claims of her wife and expressed the possibility that her daughter could be made to ‘disappear’ by his wife due to their differences on her marriage.

On August 20, law enforcing agencies confirmed that Dua did not join Daesh or any other banned extremist group as she went  to her aunt in Muzaffargarh, Punjab. According to the telephonic conversation of Dua with her mother exclusively available with The News, Dua was saying that she has reached a better place and left her home due to cruel attitude of her father who, she alleged, wanted to sell her to a man of Balochistan. Dua was also asking her mother to properly look after her brothers and sister. The SHO of Naseem Nagar, quoting Dua’s father, also confirmed the same.
