PESHAWAR: Fuad Ishaq, a member of the Board of Directors (BoD), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), has sought acceptance of his resignation he had submitted on April 5 from the board.
Fuad Ishaq, who is also chairman of the Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company’s BoD, tendered resignation from the BoD of the KPEZDMC after developing differences with the management and board members over the renovation of the company’s office at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He has stopped taking part in activities of the board since April 5.
Fuad, who has also served as president of SCCI and is currently on the BoD of the Power and Energy Development Organisation (Pedo), on Friday wrote a reminder to the chairman of the KPEZDMC board requesting the board to accept his resignation with effect from April 5.
In his letter to the board chairman he said he had submitted resignation on April 5 that clearly explained the reasons for his decision to quit the board. He said that he kept requesting secretary of the board to place his resignation before the board so that it could be accepted. However, despite his repeated requests he has not been intimated whether or not his resignation had been accepted.
Fuad Ishaq has also sent copies of his letter to other members of the board, provincial chief secretary, additional chief secretary and joint registrar, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Peshawar.
