BANNU: A resident of Hassani Surani on Sunday asked the Inspector General of Police to take action against local police officials for keeping his son in illegal confinement for the last 20 days.
Addressing a press conference here, one Abdul Sabir and female members of his family alleged that Station House Officer of City Police Station Imranullah raided Basiakhel village and arrested his son without any warrant 20 days back. He said his son was a labourer in Saudi Arabia and was not involved in any criminal activity.
The man alleged that the police had not registered first information report against his son. He asked the inspector general of police to take action against the SHO and recover his son.
