Action against banned outfits demanded
LAHORE: Religious scholars have demanded stern action against the elements who spread anarchy in country. In a joint declaration in a conference held here on Friday, the religious scholars demanded action against banned organisations in the country and said their facilitators must be arrested within no time. Clerics or Zakir should not be banned from delivering speeches anywhere in the province, they added.
They demanded participation of Shia scholars in the Mutahidda Ulema Board, Punjab. They also demanded the government to review the decision taken by Mutahidda Ulema Board, Punjab, against Shia scholars. According to them, international funding or donation to seminaries in the country must be stopped and action should be taken against the elements who are trying to destroy the peaceful environment of the country. They demanded operation Raddul Fasaad and Khyber-IV must be extended to the whole country.
