Every month, a vast majority of people in both the urban and rural areas of Pakistan die from various infectious and non-infectious diseases. In the recent days, the number of people dying from non-infectious diseases, including cancer and heart diseases, has alarmingly increased throughout the country. But in our country, the relevant authorities have failed to heed calls for healthcare reforms.
Isn’t it the responsibility of our rulers to build more hospitals? In fact, our rulers are responsible for providing doctors and paramedical staff ample resources so that they can deal with health and medical problems and challenges in an even more efficient manner. It is unfortunate that human lives have no value in our country.
