Hospital staff harass journalist
TANK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief organiser for Fata Dost Muhammad Mehsud has condemned the alleged harassment of a journalist at the District Headquarters Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan.
Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said Jalal Mehsud had visited the hospital to file a story on the poor health services when medical superintendent (MS) of District Headquarters Hospital Dera Ismail Khan and his men detained him.
Jalal Mehsud was subjected to harassment on the hospital premises. They took away his cell-phones and destroyed the video footage, he added.
The PTI leader complained that the journalist was locked inside a room of the hospital for hours.
The PTI leader demanded immediate removal of MS of the hospital and registration of FIR against him. He asked Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai to order an inquiry into the incident.
