Many incidents of mobile snatching and bank robbery are happening in Karachi. The people also shared the CCTV footage of these incidents on social media. These video clips show blurred faces of snatchers and robbers. Although motorcycles are visible in these video clips, their number plates are not visible. If high-definition CCTV cameras are installed on streets, it will be easier to identify the faces of robbers. The State Bank of Pakistan should also order all commercial banks to install high-definition CCTV cameras.
In the same way, the authorities can read the registration number written on number plates of motorcycles. The Sindh government must consider this option which could help the relevant authorities arrest criminals. Just like Islamabad, a project like the Safe City Project is important for Karachi.
