Gastroenteritis claims four lives

SUKKUR: Four people including three children lost their lives, while many people were hospitalised due to gastroenteritis in Chachro on Monday. Reports said that gastroenteritis had spread in Samoon Rind and Sabu Rind villages of Chachro due to the use of contaminated water. The locals shifted the affected people to public and private hospitals, where Imam Ali, Fahmida, Sabu and Saddiq Rind died due to dehydration. People of the village said that there was an acute shortage of drinking water in their villages and they were forced to use contaminated water. They said that many of their children and elders were admitted in hospitals.
