People eager for greet Nawaz Sharif on GT Road
Rawalpindi: The supporters of ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) are passionately making preparations for big show of power on Wednesday when former prime minister Nawaz Sharif would travel from Islamabad to Lahore through Grand Trunk (GT) Road.
"We will accompany our leader who will be welcomed by the workers and supporters of PML-N at every city along the GT Road. Our leader will show that he needs no official position because he lives in the hearts of the people," said Younis Malik, a supporter of PML-N.
The local PML-N leaders are also mobilising their workers who are likely to travel with the caravan of Nawaz Sharif from Islamabad to Lahore. The posters and banners reading slogans in favour of Nawaz Sharif have also been placed all over the city.
Chaudhry Khadim Hussain, another supporter of PML-N, said the people have not accepted the decision against Nawaz Sharif and they would continue to support him because he is the man who can embark the country on the path of progress and prosperity. He said the party workers are so excited and they will show their love to their leader on Wednesday, adding "Those who think that they will force Nawaz Sharif out of politics will come to know that no power in the country can end his political career."
