Cop dies in road crash

A policeman died in an accident on the Banaras Flyover in Orangi Town on Friday. The victim was identified as Muhammad, 57, son of Lal Khan, and he was deployed with the PIB Colony police. An official said Muhammad, a resident of Korangi, was on his motorcycle and was going to pick up his wife when a speeding dumper truck ran him over. He was shifted to the ASH but was pronounced dead on arrival. The truck driver had abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. A hunt was on for his arrest as the Sindh home minister had taken notice of the incident.
