No higher grades

This refers to the article, ‘Dismal performance’ (Jul 29), by Dr Ziauddin. The writer drew attention towards the dismal performance of government schools in KP. In the recently-held matriculation examinations, students from government schools failed to obtain high grades.

Government schools receive government-approved funds every year. And yet, the quality of education dispensed at these schools is not up to the mark. There is a dire need to restructure the education system and promote quality education.
