NAB hands over cheque to Gepco

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore, Director General Shahzad Saleem gave away Rs5 million recovered money cheque to GM operations, Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco) Haroon-ur-Rasheed.
According to a spokesman for NAB, the Lahore Bureau arrested an accused Malik Khalid Mehmood, an industrial defaulter of Rs20.7 million (approximately), in November 2016, and the accused opted quarterly recovery plan for submission of total defaulted money under the approval of accountability courts. He said the accused was the owner of Usman Steel Furnace situated in Daska. Furthermore, he said, the accused was among the list of electricity bills defaulters which Gepco provided to NAB Lahore in 2016.
