No one can topple KP govt: Asad Qaiser
TIMERGARA: Khyber Pakhtun-khwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Thursday said no one could dare topple the provincial government.
Speaking at the workers’ convention in the Timergara Rest House here, he claimed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government would complete its term and claimed the party would again form government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The KP speaker dispelled the impression that ousting of Nawaz Sharif would affect the ongoing China-Pakistan Economic Corridors (CPEC). He said Nawaz Sharif was taking credit for the CPEC, which was a continuation of Gwadar Port initiated by former president Asif Ali Zardari.
Asad Qaiser believed the politics of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz had ended with the Supreme Court verdict on Panama Leaks. He alleged that the PML-N had stooped to character assassination of the PTI chief Imran Khan.
The PTI leader alleged that Nawaz Sharif, in fact, was the prime minister of one province and deprived other provinces of the benefit of the $43 billion CPEC project. He said the provincial government raised voice for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa share in CPEC and ensured inclusion of the Swabi to Chitral motorway projects in CPEC.
Meanwhile, some PTI workers, who had come to attend the workers convention, expressed disappointment at the KP speaker’s visit to Lower Dir district. Talking to this scribe at the convention’s venue in Saddo village, council nazim Ijaz Ahmad and Kalimullah Sarhadi said the speaker disappointed the residents of Lower Dir as he didn’t announce a single project for Lower Dir.
