MARDAN: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) General Secretary Liaqat Baloch on Saturday said the credit of Supreme Court’s decision on Panama Papers went to his party.
Talking to reporters here, he said the JI had first taken to the court the issue of the Panama Papers.
Liaqat Baloch added that the time had come to hold the corrupt accountable.
He added that JI head Sirajul Haq had first submitted a petition in the Supreme Court on the Panama Papers issue.
He alleged that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had undermined the country. “Nawaz Sharif had become king in the name of democracy,” he said.
Liaqat Baloch accused Nawaz Sharif of making extra-constitutional decisions. He claimed the Supreme Court disqualified the prime minister for telling a lie.
