PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Thursday approved 21 projects with an estimated cost of Rs14880.813 million.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan chaired the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary Planning & Development Department, its members and respective administrative secretaries.
The forum considered 26 projects pertaining to different sectors, including MSD, Health, Energy & Power, Industry, Home, Law, Roads, Building, Urban Development, DWSS, Local Government & Finance sectors for the uplift of the province. Five projects were deferred due to inadequate designs.
The approved project of MSD sector were “Establishment of Change Management Unit in P & D Department, Establishment of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Cell (CPEC Cell) in P&D Department, PC-I/Cost estimate for construction of sewerage water tank and drinking water storage tank for village Yarik in Dera Ismail Khan, establishment of centralized GIS facilities & special development package, District Torghar (Phase-II).
In the Health sector approved project was “Burns & Trauma Centre, Peshawar, while in the Industries sector the project of “Construction for Building of GTVC (Boys) in Gadoon in Swabi was oakyed.
In the Home sector feasibility studies and some 50-60 projects of construction of model police station at each tehsil & town headquarters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa besides construction of regional headquarters for counter terrorism were approved.
