Ganjera resumes PSB DG duty today
KARACHI: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera would resume his office on Friday (today) after serving a three-month suspension, a highly reliable source told ‘The News’ on Thursday.
“Yes, Ganjera will resume his office from tomorrow,” the source said.The source added that Ganjera’s suspension expired on July 26 and he has been exonerated of all charges.
The source said that as per rules Ganjera had been served show-cause notice and he had submitted a 40-page reply.
He was heard by an inquiry committee and was ultimately cleared. A summary about the case had been sent to the Prime Minister through the Establishment Division, the source said.
Joint secretary of the ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Khial Zad Gul had been serving as acting Director General.
