NBP chief's appointment challenged in IHC

ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan NBP Officers Association (APNOA) has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging appointment of Saeed Ahmed as President/CEO NBP.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the IHC admitted the petition for hearing here on Wednesday and issued notices to federal government and Saeed Ahmed after preliminary arguments and put off hearing.
APNOA through its chairman Rao Muhammad Taufiq has cited federation of Pakistan through prime minister of Pakistan, Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, secretary Ministry of Finance, governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), director general (DG) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and President/ CEO NBP Saeed Ahmed as respondents.
