ISLAMABAD: The PM-N Member of the National Assembly Daniyal Aziz Wednesday said a joint investigation team (JIT) should be formed for investigation into offshore companies of PTI chief Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen.Talking to media persons, he claimed that Imran Khan had numerous offshore companies in various countries. He said Imran along with all others owning offshore companies should be held accountable.

He said Imran Khan owned assets abroad, which were not in his name. “If a person's name did not appear in the database of Panamanian firm Mossack Fonseca, then it did not mean that he could not be held accountable for the offshore companies owned by him,” he added. He said Imran failed to provide details of his offshore companies.

"We want investigations of Imran Khan's accounts starting from the year 1982," he said.

Daniyal alleged that both Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen had committed financial irregularities amounting to billions of rupees.

The PML-N leader said Jehangir Tareen and his family members, including his wife, sons and daughter, had exchanged gifts of more than Rs1 billion among themselves. Meanwhile, PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi said any effort to oust Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in an unconstitutional way would create instability and chaos in the country.
