ACLC arrests two car lifters in Islamabad
Islamabad: Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad Police has arrested two car lifters who initially confessed to take away two cars from area of Sabzi Mandi Police Station, the police spokesman said. Following directions of SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani for effective measures to curb incidents of car lifting and ensure arrest of car thieves, SP (Investigation) Zeeshan Haider constituted special teams and assigned them duties in various areas. One of the team headed by Sub-Inspector Liaqat Ali nabbed two car thieves identified as Shaukat and Gul Roz Khan. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed to lifting two cars from the area of Sabzi Mandi Police Station. Efforts are underway to arrest their other accomplices and recover stolen cars. SSP (Islamabad) Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective patrolling measures in the city and curb incidents of car lifting.
