VC vows action against unhygienic food at KU canteens

The vice chancellor of the Karachi University, Dr Ajmal Khan, has taken notice of unhygienic food items being sold at the varsity’s canteens and called for immediate steps to redress the situation.

The KU VC said the health of students and employees was a topmost priority and no compromise would be made in this regard.  On his directions, Campus Security Advisor Dr Muhammad Zubair along with a security team visited all the canteens at the campus and removed all unhygienic food items. 

Three deans appointed

The Sindh governor on Monday appointed deans for three universities of the province. As per a notification, Governor Zubair appointed Professor Dr Muhammad Yousif as Dean of Basic Medical Sciences Faculty, Sindh Medical College, Jinnah Sindh Medical University, till his retirement date of August 7, 2018. 

Dr Gulshan Ali Memon has been appointed Dean of Surgery and Allied Faculty at the Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women, Shaheed Benazirabad, till March 26, 2020.  Moreover, Professor Naheed Qadir Memon has been appointed as Dean of Basic Medical Sciences Faculty at the same university till May 18, 2018.
