Rawalpindi: The family of a teenager suffering from serious kidney ailment has appealed to Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and philanthropists to help him in his treatment, says a press release.
15-year-old, Hamza Shahzad, a resident of Churianwala Mohallah, near Jamia Masjid Ghausia, Pir Maki Ravi Road, Data Darbar, Lahore is suffering from serious kidney ailment and undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital, Lahore where doctors have advised kidney transplant for the teenager.
His maternal uncle, Sajid, has appealed to prime minister, Punjab chief minister and philanthropists to help the family in treatment of Hamza, as he is the sole breadwinner for the family and he sells shoes on a pushcart and cannot afford the hefty cost of the treatment of his nephew. He said that Hamza has to undergo dialysis often and he also needs O –ve or O +ve blood every time. “One of my niece, a sister of Hamza, also died of the same disease. Hamza is the only child of my sister as his father left them when they were little and there is no one who can help us in this dire situation.” The family can be contacted at 0300-4483488 for further information.
