Cops admonished

LAHORE: DIG Operations admonished four DSPs of Iqbal Town Police Division for their poor performance during the month of June.

He also admonished Gulshan Iqbal SHO, Muslim Town SHO, Nawankot SHO and Millat Park SHO on poor performance and surge in crimes. He directed Iqbal Town SHO, Samanabad SHO and Sandha SHO to improve their performance and gave last warning to the Sherakot SHO on poor performance.

SUSPENDED: Three policemen, including an ASI, have been suspended after the CCTV footage confirmed the incident in which they were beating up a man for not paying the bill.

On the day of the incident, three policemen, including an ASI Aftab along with a man came to a hotel in Moon Market, Iqbal Town and ordered for food. Later, they asked the man to pay the bill which the man refused. On which the policemen began hurling abuses at him and slapping him, the CCTV camera footage revealed the entire incident.

AWARENESS CAMP: City Traffic police set up an awareness camp at Greater Iqbal Park on Sunday, to spread awareness among the citizens about traffic laws. Traffic police distributed pamphlets to create awareness about road safety and traffic rules.
