LAHORE: The Punjab government Friday approved three development schemes of different sectors at an estimated cost of Rs15.595 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 5th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2017-18 presided over by P&D Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning and Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control & Communication (PPIC3) Centre, Lahore (revised) at the cost of Rs13.717 billion and widening/improvement/ reconstruction of (Phase-II) Jourian to Siral Harraka Dhudial Road, District Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs1.328 billion and upgradation of vulnerable unmanned level crossing falling within the territorial jurisdiction of the province of the Punjab at the cost of Rs550 million.
