It is quite good to note that the network of carpeted roads that is recently constructed under the Khadam-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme is proving to be a game changer for the promotion of the rural economy in the province. According to some media reports, this is the largest programme that aims at the construction and rehabilitation of rural roads. The timely implementation of the programme has resulted in providing better and improved transport facilities to the rural population. Farmers, in particular, are feeling more comfortable since they can easily take their produce to the nearby markets.

The Khadam-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme is a unique and innovative initiative which is transforming the lifestyle of the rural population in a commendable manner. To ensure the longevity of these roads, the government officials must carry out periodic inspections in different parts of the province to see the wear and tear of these roads. Timely repairs and rehabilitation work of these carpeted roads will continue providing smooth and trouble free transportation facilities to the rural population and keep boosting rural economy for years to come.
