BATKHELA: Consumers on Monday staged protest against the unscheduled and prolonged power outages in Malakand Agency. The protesters chanted slogans against the administration and the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) for the 20-hour loadshedding in Batkhela, Dargai and Sakhakot. Led by former provincial minister Shah Raz Khan, Muhammad Shoaib Khan, trade leaders and other politicians, the protesters demanded power supply from Malakand-III Project. They said the government had released funds to the administration for establishment gridstation, but the officials were using delaying tactics.
