One dead, five hurt as bus overturns

A man lost his life and five others sustained injuries when a commuter bus overturned in the city’s Qayyumabad area on Sunday. According to rescue officials, the bus was travelling at high speed when it's brakes failed and it veered out of the driver's control before overturning.    As a result, an unidentified man, who the officials said appeared to be around 25 years old, died on the spot while five other people sustained injuries. The body and the injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. 

Minor killed 

A four-year-old girl died in a road accident in the city’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on Sunday. According to rescue officials, the child, Muqaddas Sarwar, died of severe injuries sustained when  she was hit by a speeding vehicle near the Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station. The body was moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy.
