KARACHI: Rising Star CC hammered Inqilab Cricket Club by 90 runs and Malir Cantt Gymkhana overcame Pak Star CC by 155 runs in Omar Associates Trophy KCCA Zone IV Cricket Tournament on Friday.
Besides, Modern Gymkhana thumped Airport Star CC by 87 runs and Faisal Gymkhana defeated Young Pak Flag CC by 137 runs.
At Steel Town Gymkhana, Rising Star batted first and scored 302-6 in 35 overs. Saqib Badar-ul-Hassan made 92. Abid Hussain took 2 wickets.
In reply, Inqilab only managed 212-9 in 35 overs. Tariq Shah scored a brilliant century. Saqib Badar-ul-Hassan and Fahad Maqsood grabbed three wickets each.
At Punjab cricket ground, Malir Cantt Gymkhana defeated Pak Star by 155 runs. Batting first, Malir Cantt Gymkhana made 243-9 in 35 overs. Sabir Bhatti scored 71.
Pak Star managed only 88 before being bundled out. Ghulam Murtaza made 35.
At Bright CC ground, Modern Gymkhana inflicted a defeat on Airport Star by 87 runs.
Modern Gymkhana made 208-9 in 31.2 overs while batting first. Naseer Ahmed scored 56. Abid Ali Shaikh, Talib Hussain and Saadat Abbasi claimed two wickets each.
Air Port Star managed only 124-9 in 35 overs.
At CAA Stadium, Faisal Gymkhana beat Young Pak Flag by 137 runs.
Batting first, Faisal Gymkhana scored 283-9 in 35 overs. Fayyaz Hussain scored 108 runs. Fazal-e-Azeem also batted well for his 104, which came off just 56 balls. Mohammad Yahya took four wickets.
Young Pak Flag were bowled out for only 146. Sarfaraz Nawaz took three wickets.
