NAB detains PO in Rs 7m scam
MULTAN: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) in a fraud case. Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, NAB Director General Atiqur Rehman said that NAB had completed probe against accused Mian Naveed Aziz (Pak Mushroom Project proprietor), Khurram Shahzad (accounts manager), Shahid Iqbal alias Mudassar (marketing manager), Ghulam Farid Alias Danish (regional manager) and Muhammad Yar (zonal manager) as they cheated the people to the tune of Rs 7.60 million.
He said that the NAB had declared accused Muhammad Yar a proclaimed offender as he did not join the investigation. He said that Yar used to lure people to invest in the company on the promise of extra profit. He said that the NAB officials after hectic efforts arrested the accused and produced him before the NAB court, which granted physical remand till June 29.
