FAISALABAD: Eidul Fitr was celebrated with simplicity due to the Bahawalpur oil tanker incident and terrorist attacks in Parachinar, Quetta and Karachi.
Commissioner Momin Agha, RPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana and Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani offered Eid prayers in the Police Lines. Prayers were also offered for the prosperity and development of the country, besides prayers for the victims of the oil tanker and terrorism incidents. The district administration had made comprehensive administrative and security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident during the Eid days.
After the Eid prayers, the commissioner, the RPO and the DC visited different wards of the Allied Hospital and distributed Eid gifts among the patients. Ansari and MPA Haji Ilyas Ansari visited the Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology on the Eid day and presented bouquets and fruits to the patients.
MUZAFFARGARH: Like other parts of the country, Eid was celebrated with religious fervour and zeal throughout the district. Eid congregations were held at hundreds of open places‚ mosques and Eidgahs in the district. The Ulema, in their sermons, highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eid.
On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the victims of the Bahawalpur oil tanker incident and early liberation ofIndian Held Kashmir and Palestine. Prayers were also offered for progress and prosperity of the country.
