Navy chief hails soldiers’ dedication to safeguard maritime frontiers

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah spent Eid with the troops deployed on forward posts of Pakistan Navy in the Sir Creek area bordering India.

A Pakistan Navy spokesman said the navy chief was accompanied by officiating Commander Coast Rear Admiral Athar Mukhtar during the visit. Admiral Zakaullah offered Eidul Fitr prayers with navy personnel at HQ 31st Creeks Battalion, Sujawal, and interacted with the officers and men deployed there. Later, the admiral visited Ghani Post located near the Pakistan-India border and had an informal interaction with personnel there.

The naval chief lauded their motivation and determination to safeguard Pakistan’s maritime frontiers in a critical area under a harsh topographic environment comprising marshes, swamps and unpredictable waterways along the Indian border. 

The admiral highly commended the troops for their dedication and selfless devotion to the sacred duty.

A day prior to Eid, the navy chief visited Jiwani, Pasni, Gwadar and Ormara, as per a spokesman. At naval installations in Jiwani, Admiral Zakaullah interacted with officers and other staff members. He lauded their professionalism and dedication for safeguarding the maritime frontiers of the country.  

“Cowardly acts of terrorism can never dent our morale and no stone will be left unturned in efforts to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country,” he said during the visit.
