KARACHI: Nahida Khan’s 79 helped Pakistan set South Africa 207 runs to win in their match of ICC Women’s World Cup at Grace Road, Leicester, on Sunday.
Opener Nahida, who got run out in the 39th over, hit nine fours and a six in her 101-ball innings. Other batters of Pakistan got good starts but failed to capitalise on them. Asmavia Iqbal was the next highest scorer with just 27 runs, which she scored off 38 balls, hitting two fours.
Nain Abidi scored 22, Javeria Khan 17, and skipper Sana Mir 15, with Pakistan finishing at 206 for eight. S Ismail and M Daniels got two wickets each.
